It all begins in late April 2010. Anne was living in Minneapolis, Minnesota and she had promised her friend, Brandon that she would join him for the weekend to visit his former college roommate, Tyler in Milwaukee. Anne was just getting over a cold and tried to get out of the six hour car ride, but Brandon was persistent. Anne gave in- a decision that would change her life forever!
Tyler and Anne had met briefly before in years past but something was different this weekend. A spark was kindling as they took in Milwaukee's finest -Brewery tours, concerts, corner bars, restaurants, and even time for coffee. They were able to get to know each other better and liked what they saw. At the end of Anne's last night there Tyler snuck her away from Brandon and other friends to share their first kiss together!
The greater part of the next six months were spent in the car every weekend as one or the other would make the drive between Minneapolis and Milwaukee. Phone calls and Skype video conferencing kept the lovebirds in touch during the week. By November, with winter fast approaching, Anne and Milkshake (Anne's dog) made the move to Milwaukee- back to Wisconsin and the land of the Green Bay Packers!
The summer of 2011 rolled around finding Anne busy working on her online masters program as well as her job. Tyler and Anne were planning on a mini vacation as a break up to a cabin with friends for the weekend of June 18. Tyler pulled a fast one on her and told her plans were changed to a surprise trip to New York City. They toured the city and into the evening they made their way to Times Square. Tyler steered Anne up to the second floor of the M & M store and at the precise moment he told her to look out the window onto the Square, the Hershey’s marquee scrolled by with "ANNE - WILL YOU MARRY ME? LOVE, TYLER."
